Miami
In the sunny state of Florida, Miami is a melting pot of cultures, a warm and friendly city on one of the most beautiful spots in the world. A city of great architecture and the perfect starting point for exploring the rich variety of sights and sounds in Florida.
There are 3 main streets that everything is going down; Ocean, Collins, Washington. All within walking distance from each other. Both times that I went to Miami, I stayed on Ocean and it's worth the money. You're walking distance to the beach and my hotel was about 2 blocks from Starbucks (very important!!! lol). Hey, did you know you could stay in Versace's house for about $1,200.00/night.

The beach is beautiful and the water is OMG...warm. I don't think I've ever seen water so clear. It's also a topless beach. You can rent an umbrella and 2 lounges for about $24 for the whole day. It's not as hot as you think it would be on the beach. It was actually hotter on the strip then being on the sand.
If you would prefer to take one of the Florida weekend escapes available in other parts of the state, how about traveling to the Florida Keys? Well known for their relaxing, tropical atmosphere, the Keys make a perfect stop for your weekend.

We loved our stay at Ocean Key
When planning this year's vacation, Kevin suggested Ocean Key Resort and Spa. We arrived early Sunday evening just before Sunset, vowing never to look at the time. Like Rock Stars, We were Upgraded to a Beautiful, One bedroom Oceanview Suite. Island decor, high ceilings and sliding french doors open out to a balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Our room was directly over the Sunset Pier Restaurant. We enjoyed the music and Kevin played his guitar from our bedroom.

Although Ocean Key is next to Mallory Square, you can have your very own Sunset Celebration from your Balcony, or Bedroom. There's a comfortable king bed with plenty of pillows, and a breathtaking view. Sunrise to sunset was mesmerizing. We saw the water change colors during the day, and lightning flash across the sky at night. A Traveler's Delight !
